Asexual Beltane

I understand that Beltane may be difficult for individuals who want to observe for the fires, food, fairies, etc. but aren't comfortable with the idea of sex or physical intimacy. There are many ways that Beltane can be observed, however. Here are a few of my favorites, but feel free to come up with your own!

-Light a bonfire if you have a fire pit, or even just fire up a grill

-Go for a long walk or run in nature
-Enjoy some fruity or flower wine
-Make flower crowns or a pair of fairy wings!
-Soak in a bath with fragrance, oils, and flower petals (do what you want, but I recommend Lush’s Guardian of the Forest bath bomb for this!)
-Visit with loved ones
-Leave offerings for the fae! They enjoy milk, honey, bread, ribbons, glitter…do a web search for more information on what to leave them and how to do it!

-Bake or buy some treats, particularly with honey.

Beltane is often thought of as all about sex, sex, and more sex. But really, the true meaning of Beltane is all about new beginnings, and creations. There are many ways asexual pagans, Wiccans, and Druids can observe this holiday! I also honor my ancestor Queen Maeve of Connaught on this holiday. She's taught me so much, and helped me come so far!
