Bob Olson's "The Magic Mala" is, indeed "a story that changes lives." Although the subject matter probably isn't new to those who have been practicing the Law of Attraction for a while, this is still a very worthwhile and inspirational read. Robbie Robertson is a destitute writer who, in a desperate search to find items of value in his parents' attic to sell, stumbles upon a mysterious mala made of lapis beads. His father's ill in the hospital, and when he takes them to show him, his father confides that the beads were his once-but now they're Robbie's, as they "chose him." 

Struggling to pay rent, eating nothing but boxed mac and cheese, driving a twenty year old jalopy that's going to break down any day, and willing to try anything-anything-to somehow turn his life around, Robbie reads the enclosed booklet and follows the instructions to a T, using the beads as a meditation tool for the abundance mantra provided. And does Robbie's life turn around...? Let's see!

We highly recommend "The Magic Mala." This isn't "New Age quackery," it's now being proven by science that everything is vibration...and what you put out comes back to you. I've utilized the Law of Attraction before...and had some amazing results. Read this even if you're a skeptic! 

My guess is that those who read this book may end up wanting their own beads. I recommend two shops on Etsy: Hearthfire Handworks-Pagan-owned and great selections of beads devoted to just about every deity from every pantheon there is!- and for those of you who want "mainstream" malas, Hands of Tibet, made fair trade on the Big Island of Hawaii by Tibetan and Nepali immigrants-the real deal and very well made-and honestly priced lower than what they should be for the quality!!!
