I don't care how bizarre this sounds. I don't know if it's because of my own roots or what, but looking at pictures of the Puritan Death's-Head, I feel, not like she is a somber symbol of death...but of power, courage, and new beginnings, of my family members who dared to flee religious persecution in the British Isles and cross the mighty Atlantic in a rickety ship to practice their face with judgement on the wild shores of New England.
She's come to me in meditations and has greatly inspired me.
Get into a meditative pose. Imagine the presence of the Death's Head in your mind, or stare at a picture of one. Quiet your mind. What does she say to you? What does she wish to convey?
