Charity Tillman-Dick had everything going for her. This all changed in a blink of an eye. While studying at a famed music academy in Budapest, the budding opera singer received the devastating diagnosis of a fatal pulmonary condition. 
"You'll die if you continue to sing" all the doctors warned. But, despite her death sentence, Charity refused to heed their warnings, and continued to do what she loved.

Charity received two double lung transplants, and with the support of her family, husband, and medical team, refused to give into her death sentence. She doesn't sugarcoat it in this book, which is her autobiographical true story. She's not afraid to get raw and gritty. 

Charity has been interviewed by my father on his WOSU radio show, and I am delighted to hear of her. Her story is an inspiration, and the message is-never stop fighting! I LOVE as well, how she's not ashamed to say that she's a "virgin," in a society when asexuality is seen as a defect, and that she never wants kids! She's also multiple religions (Jewish and Mormon.) As someone who, not only believes in fighting back at all costs, but who actually WANTS to die a "virgin," and is also multiple religions (Pagan and Catholic, sometimes Puritan!) I REALLY can relate to her in many ways!
