Immigration Equality

As some may know, as an alternate way of observing Saint Patrick's Day/Irish American Month, I decided to donate to an immigrants' rights fund in honor of my great-grandparents, and a famine relief fund in honor of their parents.While looking up charities to give to, I came across Immigration Equality, a charity that strives to better the lives of LGBT refugees from countries where it is a crime-in some cases punishable by death-to be LGBT. I am homoromantic and asexual myself, and I can only thank Danu how well I have it. I can't believe that in some countries I would be executed for my orientation-which is NOT a choice!

And to think that, ironically, the country that my great-grandparents immigrated from-Ireland-was recently the first country to legally recognize same-sex marriage! I was a very happy Irish lass on that day!
