Here is a both sappy and humorous post wishing a happy birthday to an integral part of my (if you could call it that) childhood...
So, the news was released this morning that a certain cynical cartoon feline has turned 46! To make a long (for now) story short, laughing my ass off at Garfield was one of the few bright lights in a traumatic childhood, and he's one of the tools we're utilizing in "inner child" and C-PTSD therapy.
When the Garfield movie was announced last fall and Garfield stuff started getting popular again, I got myself back into the comic strips...and they're such a great stress/depression reliever tool.
So anyway, Garfield absolutely deserved one of my challenge coins for his birthday!!! "Thank you for your service" indeed Garfield...and Jim Davis, if you happen to be reading this, thanks for 46 years of laughs!!!
