My grandfather's Bronze Star and Purple Heart, with small statues of Elen of the Ways and a noble Anglo-Saxon chieftain keeping vigil. He experienced crippling PTSD after suffering a traumatic brain injury in WWII, and sadly never got the help he deserved. No one should have to fight alone. Let's turn the tides and take care of our veterans-they deserve it!
(Please refer to my EMDR posts!)
EDIT: There is a interesting backstory on the "Chieftain" god sculpture (on the right, sorry you can't see him too well, pictures don't do him justice.) He is a OOAK from Brigid's Grove on Etsy, of which I am a regular patron of. Most of their OOAK "Story Goddesses and Gods" are snatched up almost instantly after being posted for sale, but this one went unclaimed for weeks and weeks. (Something tells me their male Gods don't sell as well as the Goddesses, but still.) I would keep coming back to him, and finally ended up buying him...it's almost like he was calling out to me! And here is he is now, honoring my grandfather, who I never met, but still deserves recognition...it's almost like it was a sign from him!
