Ohio Military Reserve

The Ohio Military Reserve, Ohio's state defense militia, is looking for a few hard-working, determined soldiers, and I think I've got just the answer for them. To have a bunch of young men and women on the autism spectrum enlist could be exactly what so many people need.
As we know, many have expressed frustration and disappointment with the unwillingness to take anyone on the autism spectrum by the federal military. Let's kill two birds with one stone-solve the Ohio Military Reserve's shortage of soldiers and bring awareness to the organization, and let's show the mainstream federal military what they're missing out on by having a bunch of individuals on the autism spectrum join!
This could be the perfect opportunity for not only Ohio's state defense force to gain the soldiers and attention it desperately needs, but for the community at large to start noticing the talents and gifts that autistic people possess, that are for the most part of it sadly going unnoticed.
The Ohio Military Reserve today mostly focuses on disaster response and search and rescue. As of right now, they do not train with firearms.
This could be the perfect opportunity for so many multiple entities!
The Ohio Military Reserve could: Receive the multitude of strong, dedicated, hard working young men and women that it needs;
Young men and women with autism could: Gain confidence and self-esteem that they never had;
The public at large could: Be made aware of the many abilities that people with autism do possess; The Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard could: Realize just who they're missing out on and denying opportunities to!
Of course, the intention isn't for a bunch of people with autism to join Ohio Military Reserve and then drop out and join the federal military, leaving OHMR right where they started, with no soldiers! Not at all. The whole idea is for the community at large-not just the military-to take note (and of course, for OHMR to get its soldiers.)
