From Game of Thrones-miss it already?-this beautiful piece really struck a chord with me. Doesn't it give you chills? What does it bring to mind?
Our current world...and Autism. Really.
For some reason, I've always associated Autism with wolves. I don't know why, I just have. Maybe because it's been said that Autism may have evolved to give an advantage in hunting?
And as far as WHERE Autism originated...? Something tells me somewhere in far northern Europe-somewhere very cold and dark. (Russia perhaps?) Somewhere like "the North" of Westeros. (It could explain why autistics love the cold and the dark and are so sensitive to heat and light, unlike most neurotypical human beings, who florish in the heat and are very sensitive to cold.)
I could almost see this as a metaphor for what IS going to come...the cyber catastrophe...or gods forbid, the nuclear winter.
In both scenarios, the autistics will be the ones that end up florishing...or even saving the world.
Is that what it's going to take for Autism to be taken seriously?
