A salute to our female World War II veterans

 Looking over these exhibits makes you realize what women had to go through to be accepted into our mainstream society. During World War II thousands served in special military units, as well as traditional "male" civilian roles. They proved what women COULD do, and earned the respect of the nation...only to be put back into their domestic roles when the men returned.
As I said, it sadly may very well take a massive cyber war for the world to realize what autistics can do. It took a major world war to show what women could do. Although as said, after all women contributed to during the war, they were simply dumped back into their domestic roles once the men returned home. However, slowly but surely society began to take note...and women are where they are today. We still have a ways to go, but we're slowly but surely getting there!
